Hello everyone! My name is Anay Varma, and I'm currently in my fourth year at Wilfrid Laurier University, pursuing a double degree in Computer Science and Business Administration.
I’m passionate about leveraging technology to solve real-world problems and bridge the gap between software solutions and business needs. Recently, I completed a backend development internship at ClearSight Health, where I worked on building scalable ETL pipelines, integrating APIs with OpenAPI specifications, and deploying solutions using AWS. I also focused on ensuring robust automated testing with tools like Postman API and Mockito. This experience sharpened my skills in developing clean, efficient code and deepened my interest in backend architecture.
Beyond coding, I’m driven by the intersection of technology and business strategy, always looking for opportunities where innovative software solutions can create tangible business value. When I’m not working on projects, you can find me exploring new technologies, or diving into the latest tech and startup trends.
Outside of programming and schoolwork, I stay productive and engaged through a variety of hobbies. I’m a huge sports enthusiast—whether it’s playing basketball, tennis, or badminton, I enjoy staying active and embracing the competitive spirit. Music is another passion of mine; I love discovering new artists, exploring different genres, playing the guitar, and even dabble in music production. I also love traveling, as it allows me to experience new cultures and perspectives. When it’s time to unwind, you’ll often find me catching up on the latest NBA and NFL games. I believe in maintaining a balanced lifestyle. These interests keep me curious, creative, and energized—qualities I bring into my work and learning.
